A 12 hr. workshop to support your partnership for baby’s arrival.
67% of parents experience a significant drop in relationship satisfaction after the birth of a child.
That’s a lot of us! Understandably so! When expecting a child, our relationship with our partner is often the last thing we are given the tools for. Think of this workshop like a prenatal class for your relationship.
The Bringing Baby Home (BBH) workshop is a 12 hour research-based and research-tested psycho-educational workshop that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families.
The goal of BBH is to equip you with the knowledge and skill sets needed to constructively cope with the many changes that typically occur during the first
three years after your baby is born.

In the BBH workshop, you and your partner will learn how to do the following:
- Strengthen your friendship
- Increase intimacy and affection
- Work through conflict with greater ease
- Maintain relationship satisfaction
- Reduce hostility
- Create positive parent-child interactions
- Ensure quality involvement for both parents
- Reduce the incidence or severity of postpartum mood disorders
The BBH program will also help you do things like:
- Better understand child development
- Create co-parenting strategies with your partner
- Improve the way you and your partner communicate, connect, and compromise
- Recognize signs of postpartum mood disorders and gain awareness of
treatment options

Hi, I’m Kendra.
I’m a licensed counselling therapist, mom of two and partner to my husband of 12 years. I know firsthand how wildly difficult it can be to maintain a connected relationship with your partner after having a baby. In my work with couples, I’ve repeatedly heard couples refer to “having kids” as the time when things changed in the relationship, often not for the better. But, I know it doesn’t have to be this way. Many couples thrive after having a baby and create a deep sense of meaning around their new life together.
I became a Bringing Baby Home educator because this is the workshop I wish my husband and I had done. We had lots of information about how to take care of a newborn but not about how to stay connected to one another while also learning how to care for ourselves and create an emotionally safe space for our children. Even as a couples therapist myself, we didn’t know what conversations we needed to have before we became parents.
There is a lot of information in this workshop and I can’t wait to share it with you. But, I also hope to share some solidarity, empathy and compassion about this season of life that upends everything.
Let’s work on supporting you and your partner. Because a healthy relationship is key to a healthy baby.
How do I know if it is a good fit for my partner and I?
This workshop is designed for couples who are expecting a baby or anyone in the first 3 years of parenting their first child. If you are in that category, this would be a great fit for you! The content convered will give you a chance to talk about things with your partner that many parents and parents-to-be don’t get the chance to talk about before a baby arrives.
Where & when is the workshop?
The workshop is a live online workshop. This means you’ll be sent a link ahead of time to attend the workshop sessions virtually, in real time. A recording is NOT sent out after the event. It is a live event. You can enjoy the workshop from the comfort of your home with a good internet connection. It is recommend that you have a quiet space for you to focus on the workshop and your partner. New babies are, of course, welcome to be with you!
